Here's a "snap"shot of one of the things that has kept us busy this week.
Get it - "snap"shot...
We've been busy picking, snapping and canning green beans.
Ralph and I were talking this morning and he said that there would probably be 1 or 2 more pickings and the beans would be finished for the year. And I thought, wait we just started harvesting.
Then it hit me, there is an intense time of planting, then maintaining, then harvesting and canning that goes along with gardening. Then a time of enjoying the fruit, or vegetables in this case, of your labor.
Kind of like raising children. There are intense times, that lead to a hopefully happy fulfilled harvest (kids).
Madison is finishing her last week of Elementary School.
That means Middle School is next.
I didn't like Middle School when I was in it. I have a feeling I won't like it any better, parenting thru it.
But, that's ok. It's all part of the process of growing up
The key is to stick to it in the intense, difficult times and trust there will be a happy harvest in the end.
