How could this week get any better? Well if you have read my previous post, you know that yesterday did not go as planned.
Today was the same way.
Morgan woke up with a high fever, so she was staying home from school and I'm taking her to the Doctor - first change.
Mom, pulls up to pick the other two up to take them to school. She runs over a hoe that my girls had left in the drive, to fend off our spastic dog. The hoe cuts the tire and it's immediately flat. So, load the kids and Mom up and take them to school and work - second change.
House errands - that was planned.
Off to Marinna for Morgan to see the Doc. Diagnosis - flu with croup. She sounds horrible, bless her heart. Her fever finally got below 103, late this afternoon.
Then pick girls up from school, home, homework, pick Mom up from work. A huge thanks to Uncle Dan for changing her tire!
Ralph gets home we run over to the new place to check on things to discover Beaver is there working on the water and power line that our plumbers had cut. His cows didn't have water. I leave Ralph to help Beaver to come home fix supper and get the girls ready for bed - another change.
For a person who loves to schedule things out and have all my ducks in a row, this week has been a good lesson in learning to be flexible and go with the flow. Then I look at this sweet, fevered face and I'm reminded how unimportant a schedule is compared to being able to hold my baby girl when she's sick.
